The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Borrowing title from one of the most well known rock ballads in history, Free Bird is about letting go, getting out of the comfort zone and well, being free. I tried to use this freedom while painting this bird soaring into the night.
