I’m one of those people who needs the sunshine, craves the sunshine, yes my secret power comes from the sun! So, in my studio, my only defense is to create my own sunshine. For when I’m at the beach, seeing the sunrise over the ocean is indeed my happy place.
I am a full-time working artist, and it is an absolute joy to paint! I’m hooked on vibrant color and bold, sweeping, dynamic brush and palette knife strokes. I try to bring passion, drama, and energy to a painting so that it catches your eye from across the room. I personally enjoy contemporary semi-abstract painting, as it allows for immense freedom and imagination. I think of painting as part painting and part sculpting. The textures can play as strong a role as the colors in the creative process. I often mix in techniques like dripping, layering, cracking, and scraping in my paintings.
