Although this is an abstract, the twin Towers are represented here with Lady Liberty, the indisputable symbol of American liberty, strength and resolve. She's still standing strong after 9-11 and so must we. The morning of the 20th anniversary, I awoke with a heavy heart with thoughts colliding with Elton John's song, "I'm Still Standing" playing in my mind. This gave way to creating this painting on a very emotional and prayerful day.

I am a full-time working artist, and it is an absolute joy to paint! I’m hooked on vibrant color and bold, sweeping, dynamic brush and palette knife strokes. I try to bring passion, drama, and energy to a painting so that it catches your eye from across the room. I personally enjoy contemporary semi-abstract painting, as it allows for immense freedom and imagination. I think of painting as part painting and part sculpting. The textures can play as strong a role as the colors in the creative process. I often mix in techniques like dripping, layering, cracking, and scraping in my paintings.
