One of my favorite songs by Elton John, �Don�t let the sun go down on me�, was released in 1974 the year I graduated from high school. It has been a life long fave tune especially when re-released with George Michael in the early 90′s. This painting seems to embody some of the raw emotion I feel when listening to this powerful tune.
I am a full-time working artist, and it is an absolute joy to paint! I’m hooked on vibrant color and bold, sweeping, dynamic brush and palette knife strokes. I try to bring passion, drama, and energy to a painting so that it catches your eye from across the room. I personally enjoy contemporary semi-abstract painting, as it allows for immense freedom and imagination. I think of painting as part painting and part sculpting.
